When aquatic sea-life is shipped, it is placed into a double wall anti-stress
plastic bag, then filled with enough water and oxygen to last for 48 hrs. This
allows enough time with the proper environment for the customer to receive their
living organism. It is then up to the recipient to acclimate their fish or coral.
The handling fee for live organisms is $10.00-$15.00, in addition to the shipping
cost. This handling fee is to cover special bags, oxygen & packaging
materials.
Shipping Details:
- Flat shipping charge per box size for orders within the 48 contiguous states.
- Live fish and coral are shipped via next day air. Deliveries are made by 4:30 PM to commercial addresses in most locations and by the end of day to residential addresses.
- Live rock and dry goods are shipped via ground. Delivery times will vary according to location.
- All orders are shipped on Tuesday and Thursday of each week.

Delivery Guarantee*:
We are confident that all our live specimens are in the healthiest
conditions attainable for saltwater fish. For this reason Jawz, LLC is
able to guarantee any live specimen for 24Hrs after packaging. In
the unlikely event that any specimen ordered from Jawz, LLC that is not
explicitly excluded from the guarantee, Jawz, LLC will issue a store
credit for the purchased price of the item given the following:
- Deceased specimen is reported within the 24 Hr guarantee period.
- First delivery attempt by shipper is successful, or package is picked up from the shipper on the first delivery day.
- Acclimation of live specimen into aquarium is done according to Jawz, LLC acclimation instructions.
- Water conditions meet the following requirements:
- Ammonia 0.0 ppm
- Nitrite 0.0 ppm
- Nitrate 0.0 ppm
- pH 8.0-8.4
- Phosphate 0.0 ppm
- A digital photo of the deceased item can be used for claim. In some cases Jawz will require that the deceased item be packed in a zip lock bag with 2 tablespoons of salt and mailed in a padded envelope or original packaging. Return postage will be credited up to $5.00 store credit. If original packaging is returned in good condition an additional $5.00 store credit will be issued.
*Certain live specimens are inherently difficult to maintain in an aquarium or difficult to ship. The guarantee does not apply to these specimens and it will be noted on the listing or a Jawz, LLC representative will contact you prior to shipping and before any charges are processed.
