Saltwater aquariums and tropical fish tanks

In larger aquariums a power-outage for long periods of time can be an inconvenience on the fish as well as the owner of the tank. For example, water temperature and oxygen or lack of, can prove fatal to some fish.

An aquarium leak should be addressed immediately, which could mean possible loose plumbing, bad connections or just a simple tank leak.

Wide spread disease or parasites could wipe-out an entire aquarium. At this particular time an emergency water change and medication is recommended.

In the event of a household tenting for termites or bombing for fleas, the aquarium must be evacuated.
